How to write for us:

  1. Firstly, buy your membership; it’s £10 and will allow you to write an unlimited number of articles for the whole of the 26/27 academic year.
  2. Join our Writers Team here.
  3. You can then join as many writers ‘channels’ as you can, across each section of Concrete/Venue.
  4. ‘Content Calls’ (Section Editor’s ideas for articles) will be put out during the first week of each month for each section, or you can…

‘Pitch’:

A pitch is your chance to offer an article idea you have to a Section Editor; it takes the form of a paragraph or two and should include the following information:

  1. A detailed description of the topic you would like to cover
  2. If relevant, the sources you will be using
  3. Your ideal word count

This should be sent to the relevant Section Editor. Their details can be found by typing their name into Outlook or Teams to get in touch with them directly.

We do not accept full length articles without a pitch beforehand as our Section Editors want to work with you to make sure the article fits their section; a fully written piece doesn’t allow for the growth and learning experience we would like to offer you as a budding journalist.
