Paris has recently been in the spotlight with the Olympics and its allure continues to build with the new season of “Emily in Paris”, released on August 15th. As the show continues to portray the intriguing Parisian lifestyle, many of its filming sites have become must-see spots for travellers and fans alike. Here are the best locations from Emily in Paris that you won’t want to miss on your next visit.

Terra Nera Restaurant

One of the central “Emily in Paris” filming locations is the restaurant “Les Deux Compères”, where Gabriel works, serving as a backdrop for many of the show’s most dramatic moments. Although portrayed as a French restaurant in the series, it’s actually an Italian eatery in real life called “Terra Nera”. The restaurant, located at 18 Rue des Fosses Saint-Jacques in Paris, has embraced the show’s popularity by introducing a dish called “Tagliata di Manzo Emily”, featuring sliced beef tenderloin with arugula, parmesan cheese and vinegar sauce as a tribute to the series.

L’Atelier des Lumières

In Season 1 of the series, Emily visits an immersive Van Gogh expedition at the L’Atelier des Lumières with Gabriel and Camille. This digital art museum offers a unique experience to visitors, allowing them to explore a variety of artworks in a captivating way. Located at 38 Rue Saint-Maur, 75011, the museum has been inviting visitors to relive past exhibitions this summer, including ‘Van Gogh, Starry Night’ and ‘Dreamed Japan, Images of the Floating World’. With exhibitions constantly changing, it’s a place you’ll want to visit time and time again!

Jardin du Luxembourg

Featured in multiple scenes throughout the show, Jardin du Luxembourg is a picturesque park which sees Emily going for her morning jogs. In 2022, it was voted Europe’s most beautiful garden by internet users, and it’s easy to see why. The garden boasts elaborate symmetry, beautiful flower beds, 102 historic statues and 3000 trees of various species. Situated in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, it is the perfect place to take a stroll or enjoy a picnic.

Café de Flore

Café de Flore is one of the oldest cafés in France, renowned for attracting high-profile writers, philosophers and artists such as Pablo Picasso in the past. In season 1, Emily visits this famous café and meets Thomas, one of her love interests. Located in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area of the 6th arrondissement, the café offers a diverse menu including salads, omelettes, ice cream and profiteroles. Be sure to order their hot chocolate, which has gained popularity on TikTok for its quality cocoa flavour and silky texture.

Provence

In season 3, Emily ventures out of Paris to explore Provence in southeastern France, famed for its lavender fields and vineyards. French cast members such as William Abadie, who plays Antoine, were just as thrilled to visit the region as their American costars. The lavender fields bloom from May to early August, with the full bloom taking place end of June and the beginning of July. Photographers particularly love the golden hour in this location, capturing stunning photos at sunrise and sunset. Lucas Bravo, who portrays love interest and chef Gabriel, described Provence as the “best location” he’s ever visited for a project. For the latest season released this summer, creator Darren Stars has shared that Emily in Paris season 4 will showcase a mix of filming locations across France and Italy, with a focus on Rome and its iconic monuments. This season promises to be an exciting one for Emily’s ongoing adventures as she navigates her career and personal life.
