A much loved student housing service will rebrand instead of closing.

Homerun, a platform that connected student tenants with landlords, will remain open under a new name – UEA Studentpad.

In October, UEASU announced that Homerun would close on 31 December 2025 following low uptake ane high running costs.

The platform offered renting advice, guidance for living in Norwich, and helped students find potential housemates through messageboards.

One student anonymously described Homerun as a “lifeline” for finding “kind housemates and reasonable landlords.”

Despite the rebrand, students have been reassured that the experience will remain the same.

Students’ UEA credentials will still function as their logins, and they will still be able to search for housing, contact landlords, receive housing advice, and find housemates through messageboards.

UEA Studentpad will take over full administration on 1 January 2026.

UEASU have told students they can also receive housing and tenancy support through Advice(su), which is not affiliated with Studentpad.
