As the vice president of UEA Burlesque society, I have amassed a lot of lingerie over my time at university. I have a collection of about 30 lingerie sets from a variety of places, most of which have been bought in Norwich, so here are my suggestions for those looking to buy some for themselves.

Cheap options for lingerie include high street shops, especially Primark, however these can be very limited in size with most of their options being up to size D. If you are tight on time, supermarket shops often sell lingerie in their clothes sections, however these also tend to have limited options and can be rather basic.

M&S and John Lewis are great options for good quality lingerie with mid-range prices and relatively good size inclusion. These shops are great options for those who may not be comfortable entering shops that tailor towards lingerie and sex toys exclusively.

There are a range of shops in Norwich that focus exclusively on lingerie and things associated with them. Boux Avenue is my personal favourite, which frequently has deals when buying a bra rewards you with a free matching pair of underwear. Even outside of the deals, the prices are still mid-range for lingerie, with a set costing around £50. Bravissimo is another great option for those with larger busts, with sizes going all the way up to L cup instead of stopping at G like most other places. However, these bras do tend to be a bit more on the expensive size with a single bra costing around £40.

Finally, Ann Summers has the largest range of styles of lingerie with some extra saucy pieces available. Not only do they sell lingerie, they have some sexy outfits as well like maid costumes and playboy bunnies if you are hoping to spice up your sex life this Valentines day. One item that Ann Summers excels in is their selection of stockings, hold ups and novelty tights. If you have visited a UEA Burlesque show, these are often what most of the dancers wear.

If you are interested in buying some lingerie for Valentines day, whether for just yourself, or to surprise your partner, I would most recommend checking out Primark, M&S, Boux Avenue, Bravissimo or Ann Summers, depending on what’s best for your size and budget.
