Finally, you’ve submitted your last assignment and you want to celebrate the end of the year. Here’s a few of my favourite places in Norwich where you can splash out, just a little a bit…

  1. Shiki on Tombland Street

This place is great for sushi lovers and those who want to sample a little bit of everything on the menu. Runs a little on the pricey end depending what you order, but the sushi speaks for itself with its freshness and flavours. Its Izakaya concept makes this place perfect to celebrate with friends!

  1. Yalm in the Royal Arcade

With so many food and drink options in a food court and order-to-table, this place is perfect to celebrate the end of the year with others. There’s something for everyone, with menus offering from Italian to Latin-inspired dishes.

  1. Benoli on Orford St.

Specialising in pasta with a focused menu on seasonal items, Benoli has some of the best pasta dishes in Norwich. The ingredients are humble, but the dishes at Benoli turn these humble ingredients into an unforgettable experience.

  1. Estabulo in Riverside Park

Okay, this one is a bit expensive, but the experience is great. If you like barbecue (minus the grilling part and having all your clothes stink), this place is perfect. Estabulo serves Brazilian barbecue and it’s unlimited! Servers walk around with various cuts of meat, including succulent honey pork and steak. Plus, they come around with the most delectable grilled pineapple with cinnamon. Highly recommend for anyone!

  1. Tasty Restaurant on Prince of Wales Road

This is one of the only, if not the only, restaurant that does Chinese-style hot pot in all of Norwich. If hot pot isn’t what you fancy, they have traditional Chinese dishes from Sichuan food to Northern Chinese cuisine. Sorry, no salt and chili chips here. Hot pot is an immersive experience, and it’s an all you can eat menu as well. Just check off what you want, and share the experience of cooking the food with friends and family.
